My Story
Welcome to this snapshot of my work as a fractional communications leader.

I began my career in radio, and have worked in B2B, technology and consumer PR for more than 25 years. I have held fractional roles as Communications Director at organisations such Level 3 (now CenturyLink) and IFS, as well as Associate Director at Noiseworks, and more.
​
I have the perspective of having worked both in-house and agency-side, enriched by having run my own businesses (successfully selling one of them).
​
At ease with large, matrixed organisations, my affinity lies in collaborating with fast-paced environments and working with dynamic start-ups, scale-ups, and change-ups - companies with a distinctive attitude and a compelling story waiting to be shared.

Professional achievements include:-
+ Simple, impactful storytelling and creating high value content assets that track back to deals won and feature in company top 5 downloads
+ Led a global comms team to grow earned PR coverage by >130% YoY
+ Building compelling stories for Tier One coverage: Sky TV, BBC Click, The Times, FT, Forbes, CNBC etc.
+ Driven internak & external comms during company re-brand, and major product launches
+ Designed and built CEO and executive comms from the ground up
+ Overseen successful positioning in many highly influential analyst reports such as Gartner Magic Quadrants, to Forrester Waves and IDC Marketscapes
+ Led communications during M&A activity
+ Designed influencer programmes
+ Recruited agency networks from scratch, creating globally synchronised systems

Fluent in the full communications mix, from PR to analyst relations, I have also run change workshops for clients such as The Post Office, HSBC, The Knightsbridge, the NHS and more. An NLP Master Practitioner, I am also a certified goal mapping practitioner, LEGO SERIOUS PLAY facilitator and mentor.
